My disclaimer concerning bias: I grew up with the author, and thought the globe of her long before she published something. Now, I am merely in awe of her. Most critiques I've written have been solicited by authors identified to me personally. This critique is unsolicited. The bottom line: I have no recollection of becoming so powerfully moved by written words in my lifetime.
